Lots of fun activities took place recently. We had a visit from the Gardaí and learned about all the inportant work they do. We got to try on their hi-vis vests and caps. We had a skipping workshop and learned lots of tips to help us skip better.
Heritage in Schools visited us and we spent time in our school garden learning all about seeds. We searched for seeds and looked at them through magifying glasses.
We learned lots about science during Science Week in November. Junior Einstein Science Club showed us lots of experiments. We played with oobleck and saw a cola/mentos experiment in the yard. It was messy and fun at the same time!
We visited Mrs.Madden's office and brought some of our work to show her. That was was lots of fun. The Garda helicopter also flew over our school to say hello. Everyone in the school went outside to wave at the helicopter and listen to christmas songs.
There was a bake-sale in December. Everyone had a chance to buy some treats and bring them home. It was difficult to decide what to buy as there were so many delicious treats to choose from.
We have been busy practicing for our Christmas play in December but don't worry, we also had lots of time to learn interesting things in the classroom too!
