Message from the Board of Management

The school day is from 9.20am to 2pm for Infants and 9.20am to 3pm for First and Second class children.

During these times, all teachers act in loco parentis for the children in their care. This is a duty that all members of the school take with the utmost responsibility.

Before the start of the school day, it is not possible for the school to perform a duty in loco parentis, because it does not possess the resources to adequately supervise and care for the children. It would be wholly negligent of the school to allow children, who are aged between 4 and 8 years of age, access to a building without proper supervision.

The school provides shelters within the school grounds which can be utilised by children who arrive before 9.20am.
